Dallas College PD in the News

Dallas College Chief Hill was recently interviewed by CBS News in Dallas about 8 new tools her department implemented to improve safety. She said all parents should be asking if these types of safety features are at your child's school.

Chief Hill's Department began over 3 years ago identifying new technology to improve safety and efficiencies as part of their strategic safety plan. The pinnacle of their new tools includes a centralized Command and Control Center and 7 satellite centers at each campus to assure complete campus monitoring and full business continuity support.

Additionally, Chief Hill upgraded access control allowing immediate campus lockdown and next generation cameras with advanced analytics to help with crime analysis, threat assessment and to track active threats.

Chief Hill encourages TACUPA members to ask her about the new technology and the steps and partnership she created to get approval.
